dəˈvōSH(ə)n

de·vo·tion
dəˈvōSH(ə)n/
noun

Loyalty and love as tho from a pet dog or dedicated husband.
As in when you’re in too much pain to get down from your lofted bed that your loyal dog whimpers from below and your loving husband carries this 70 pound Costa Rican mutt up the ladder so she can sleep with you until you feel good enough to get up. Once you’re up, she waits and you’re sweetest husband carries her back down to be by your side.

  1. I don’t know who I love more: your whimpering dog or your sweet strong hubby! Definitely both “keepers,” as fishermen say. 🙂

  2. Elizabeth, this brought tears to my eyes as I pictured Vida looking at you with those big eyes and Stephen doing what he needed to do to take care of both of you. As his mom seeing all he is doing for you, I realize that kind, sweet, sensitive little boy of ours has grown up to be a kind, sweet, sensitive, responsible, loving adult and husband. As your mom-in-law, I see your love and devotion to him and your trust in him. Your bonds and commitment to each other are so admirable. Love to you both.

    1. I see the sweet little boy who gave me a kiss on the cheek when many of Stephens aunts and uncles were in the upstairs bedroom watching “Savannah Smiles,” Jen’s favorite movie at the time. Your love story is a precious one.
